MSI-UA-DA-NICE
The MSI-UA-DA-NICE consist of the programs MSI-UA-SERVER,
MSINiceDaOPCServer and MSI-UA-DA-NICE. MSI-UA-SERVER is based on the Unified Architechure (UA) spezification of the OPC
Foundation. The client MSI-UA-DA-NICE is based on UA and on the DA
specification. It's possible to buy the complete package or each software
separately.
MSI-UA-DA-NICE has more or less the same functionality then the MSI-NICE has,
but the software can be connected to several UA and / or DA - clients at the
same time.
Until October 2012 special upgrade prices are available for all who want to upgrade
from MSI-WPCI and MSI-NICE to MSI-UA-DA-NICE. Also special prices are available for the integration
of MSI-WPCI and MSI-NICE project functions in MSI-UA-DA-NICE.
Here you can view or download the German

The following MSI-UA-NICE / MSI-UA-CLIENT versions are available:
-
MSI - 016-UA-DA-NICEE
- MSI - 032 -UA-DA-NICE
- MSI - 064 -UA-DA-NICE

All versions can be used with the operating systems
Windows XP, Windows VISTA and Windows 7. The main tasks of the software is to display, to store and to generate reports
of measuring data. MSI-UA-DA-NICE is available for different numbers of items
(measuring channels). The smallest version is for 16 items. In the moment
versions upto 2048 items are available, but more items are possible on request.
MSI-UA-DA-NICE has the following
integrated functions:
- Bar diagrams (the number of bars per diagram is only restricted by the graphic
representation)
- Line recorder function (the number of lines per diagram is only restricted by
the graphic representation)
- Historical line diagram (the number of bars per diagram is only restricted by
the graphic representation)
- Process graphics
- Actual table diagram
- XY - Diagram (actual and historical)
MSI-UA-SERVER software has already several build-in communication drivers for the communication
with different device types. So all versions include the following drivers:
ISO1745 - communication protocol for the PMA - Devices(KS40, KS90, KS92, KS94, KS98, Digital 380 and others)
Modbus RTU. To simplify the communication already for several Modbus
devices the main parameters are in an integrated database, so for the following
devices: KS40-1, KS50-1, KS90-1, KS3000, KS3010. Also for E-Bloxx A1-1, E-Bloxx
A4-1, E-Bloxx D1-1 and further devices.
Modbus on TCP/IP
PROFIBUS: With this driver many different devices can be used with
MSI-NICE (S7 SPS and many others). For using profibus a profibus card of the company
Hilscher is necessary.
CSV-File: Reading data fron data in a CSV file. So also older data can be read and added to the MSI-History. Different type of CSV files are possible,
FTP-Server: The software has an integrated FTP-Server, which can be use for uploading or downloading files to or from the MSI-UA-SERVER.
On request also other drivers can be implemented in the software.
The server can communicate via upto 64 different infaces as it were parallel.
MSI-UA-SERVER can store the measured data in historical files. UA-Clients can
request the historical raw data or the processed data (average, total,
minimum, maximum etc) from MSI_UA-SERVER.
MSI-UA-SERVER and MSI-UA-DA-NICE are already successfully tested at the following
Interoperability Workshops of the OPC Foundation:
- 2010 in San Leandro (CA)
- 2010 in N2010 in Nürnberg (Germany)
- 2011 in Scottsdale (Arizona)
- 2012 in Lake Forest (CA)
